What You'll Do5
- 1Create and maintain a sterile field while assisting surgeons with retractors sponging suctioning and draping
- 2Count instruments sharps and sponges and manage supply inventory in operating rooms
- 3Prepare instruments for sterilization and remove soiled equipment safely
- 4Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality by safeguarding personal health information
- 5Maintain unit cleanliness and report equipment or kit issues for corrective action
Requirements5
- 1High School diploma or GED with current surgical technologist certification and basic life support certification
- 21-3 years surgical technology experience and graduate degree from accredited program or military/public health service training
- 3Certified Surgical Technologist credential from nationally recognized agency recognized by ACS and AST
- 4Basic computer literacy and proficiency with web-based applications
- 5Preference for candidates with prior patient care experience or enrollment in allied health programs
