Pediatric Urgent Care Physician Assistant or NP, Pediatrics Urgent Care
Overview
Pediatric urgent care leadership role providing evidence based pediatric care to children and young adults in in person and telemedicine settings. Join a large network with on site radiology and labs and strong community ties. Work with a team of PEM providers in a private practice like ED environment with flexible 12-36 hour weeks and no overnights. This role emphasizes patient experience, quality care, and continuous learning.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and manage acute care visits for in person and telemedicine patients to achieve timely, high quality outcomes
- 2Diagnose and treat febrile illness, ENT infections, abdominal pain, respiratory distress, croup and asthma while adhering to guidelines
- 3Perform procedural care including abscess drainage, foreign body removal, laceration repair, and anxiolysis
- 4Oversee patient flow and coordinate with staff and trainees on shift to ensure smooth operations
- 5Review lab and radiology results, coordinate follow up, and respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner
- 6Maintain HIPAA compliant records and protect patient confidentiality
- 7Collaborate with onsite and telemedicine teams to meet daily tasks and service levels
- 8Adhere to safety standards and quality metrics to sustain a healthy work environment
- 9Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- 10Support service recovery and patient satisfaction initiatives
Requirements5
- 1BC/BE in Pediatrics Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience
- 2Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- 3Strong EMR experience with eCW preferred
- 4Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
- 5Commitment to pediatric patient care and evidence based practice
