Payroll Specialist, Construction Payroll & Job Costing
Overview
Own payroll for a large field-based workforce within a dry utility construction company. You will ensure weekly payroll is accurate and timely while tying pay to unit billing and job costing metrics at scale. You will collaborate with project managers and accounting to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance with regulations. This role emphasizes precision, accountability, and attention to detail in a hands-on, in-person environment.

- 5Verify timesheets production reports and billing data for accuracy
- 6Collaborate with project managers and accounting to resolve discrepancies
- 7Maintain compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations
- 8Proficiency with payroll software
- 9Deltek ComputerEase experience is a plus
- 10Communicate clearly and work effectively in a team environment
Requirements10
- 1Proven experience in payroll processing preferably in construction or related field
- 2Strong understanding of job costing and labor allocation
- 3Experience administering employee benefits programs
- 4High attention to detail and accuracy
- 5Ability to manage payroll tied to unit billing production metrics
- 6Proficiency with payroll software
- 7Deltek ComputerEase experience is a plus but not required
- 8Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- 9Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- 10Bilingual is a huge plus
