Overview
Lead end-to-end processing of biweekly US payroll for 3000+ employees using Workday. Backup for payroll in Canada Mexico Costa Rica. Report to Global Payroll Director.
What You'll Do11
- 1Process accurate and timely biweekly multi-state US payroll for 3000+ employees in Workday
- 2Audit payroll data including hours bonuses commissions deductions tax withholdings for accuracy
- 3Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports after processing
- 4Research analyze resolve complex payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries with strong customer service
- 5Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll wage hour laws and tax obligations
- 6Maintain deep understanding of payroll taxation including garnishments liens and other mandatory deductions
- 7Prepare and process off-cycle payrolls for corrections terminations or bonuses
- 8Serve as primary backup for payroll processing in Canada Mexico Costa Rica
- 9Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data integrity during onboarding terminations salary changes
- 10Assist with year-end processes such as W-2 and tax form reconciliation distribution
- 11Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within payroll function
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Accounting Business Administration or related field
- 2Minimum 5 years hands-on multi-state payroll processing experience
- 3Proven experience with Workday Payroll
- 4Expertise in payroll taxation and compliance
- 5Experience processing payroll for Canada Mexico or Costa Rica
- 6Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- 7Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- 8Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 9High level of discretion handling sensitive information
- 10FPC or CPP certification preferred
- 11Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel pivot tables VLOOKUPS
