Overview
Own patient financial clearance for rehab admissions at Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation in Gaithersburg, MD. What You'll Do7
- 1Manage pre-service processes, including scheduling and coverage authorization for rehab services.
- 2Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations for scheduled services within the first 30 days.
- 3Communicate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care and financial clearance.
- 4Pre-register patients for services, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance data entry in Windows-based systems.
- 5Assist patients in completing AHC charitable applications and explain financial assistance options.
- 6Support front desk duties during evening shifts, providing excellent customer service to patients and families.
- 7Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all patient financial interactions, even under pressure.
Requirements9
- 1High School Graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
- 22+ years in a healthcare financial environment, including insurer or public health settings.
- 3Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 4Commitment to maintaining high confidentiality standards.
- 5Proven ability to work well in stressful environments without compromising quality and accuracy.
- 6Strong customer service skills.
- 7PC skills in a Windows environment; knowledge of Word and Excel helpful.
