Overview
Lead patient education and dialysis treatment delivery under RN supervision. Manage hemodialysis machine operations and support quality improvement initiatives. Provide safe, clean environment and coordinate transitional care. Foster patient understanding of therapies and home options.
What You'll Do19
- 1Assist healthcare team in patient education regarding adequacy measures and disease processes
- 2Welcome patients and monitor wellbeing during treatments
- 3Evaluate vascular access and perform cannulation and heparin administration as permitted
- 4Administer dialysis treatments following physician orders including blood flow and dialysate flow settings
- 5Monitor intradialytic complications and implement physician-directed interventions
- 6Document vital signs weight and treatment parameters accurately
- 7Calculate and enter dialysis machine programming for ultrafiltration goals
- 8Perform pre and post-treatment evaluations and ensure proper documentation
- 9Maintain sterile field and clean dialysis equipment between patients
- 10Track laboratory specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis
- 11Coordinate transitional care for first four weeks post-dialysis admission
- 12Train direct patient care staff on appropriate programs under RN supervision
- 13Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and maintain patient records
- 14Conduct vascular access monitoring and report abnormalities to nursing staff
- 15Ensure compliance with infection control policies and educate patients/families
- 16Travel between facilities for meetings and patient care duties
- 17Lift and transport patients up to 40 pounds with assistance when needed
- 18Follow facility protocols for chemical spill cleanup and waste management
- 19Prepare patient charts and coordinate placement according to medical necessity
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons dialysis experience
- 3CPC Card certification
- 4BCBA certification
- 5AWS Certified credentials
- 6High school diploma or GED
- 7State licensure and current certifications
- 8Ability to pass Ishihara color blindness test
- 9Strong communication and patient education skills
- 10Experience with dialysis machine programming and safety alarms
- 11Physical stamina for standing and bending over frequently
