What You'll Do10
- 1Complete medication self-administration training within the first 30 days and apply protocols during night shifts.
- 2Monitor patient medication self-administration and therapeutic treatments, ensuring adherence to policies and safe practices.
- 3Document medication administration accurately in patient records, verifying completeness and compliance.
- 4Conduct patient education sessions on safe medication practices, tailoring information to individual needs.
- 5Perform medication cart audits to maintain inventory accuracy and safety standards.
- 6Document observations, patient care, and interactions in progress notes, capturing critical details.
- 7Coordinate with clinical, medical, and patient services teams as a liaison, facilitating communication.
- 8Assist in crisis intervention situations, documenting involvement and supporting patient safety.
- 9Collect urine samples and complete drug screening paperwork, following chain-of-custody procedures.
- 10Attend mandatory GRC trainings and adapt to additional duties as assigned.
Requirements6
- 1High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant experience, or CNA, Medication Technician, or EMT certification.
- 3Pass a PA Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse clearance, and FBI Fingerprinting.
- 4Pass a drug screen and provide a 2-Step TB Test result.
- 5Hold CPR and First Aid training certifications.
- 6If in recovery, attest to 18+ months of sobriety from substance use disorder.
