- 1Obtain demographic insurance and financial details from patients or guarantors
- 2Enter information accurately using computer systems
- 3Schedule appointments and document required information promptly
- 4Explain forms obtain signatures and verify medical necessity through data review
- 5Protect financial integrity by managing patient liability and payment arrangements
- 6Process payments and generate receipts
- 7Communicate effectively with physicians care managers and patient families
- 8Maintain thorough documentation following university policies
- 9Mentor junior staff and support departmental objectives
- 10Conduct performance evaluations and skill competency assessments
- 11Assist with administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements7
- 15+ years experience in hospital or medical business settings
- 2High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3Physical Requirements: exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently and/or 10 pounds constantly
- 4Security Sensitive position requiring background checks per Texas regulations
- 5Residency Requirement: permanent Texas residency
- 6Minimum Experience: 1 year in relevant field
