What You'll Do4
- 1Safely operate various types of vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and transportation safety regulations
- 2Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking including wheelchair assistance
- 3Ensure passenger safety by following emergency response procedures vehicle codes and emergency stop protocols
- 4Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety report any issues promptly and perform heavy lifting for vehicle maintenance or passenger assistance
Requirements5
- 1Valid driver’s license must be at least 21 years of age
- 2Knowledge of traffic laws vehicle codes and state/local commercial driving laws
- 3First aid certification including CPR and emergency response training for transportation safety
- 4Strong communication skills bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities
- 5Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional appearance
