Partner Integrations Engineer, Agentic & Payments
Overview
You will own technical partnerships with startups and strategic partners, delivering working integrations and demos on tight timelines. You will build polished reference implementations and co-create with external teams, turning engagements into reusable playbooks. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and API owners, you will influence roadmap priorities based on real-world partner feedback. This role blends hands-on coding with architectural guidance, ideal for a builder who thrives on zero-to-one challenges.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design and deliver working integrations and demos with startups and strategic partners within the first 90 days.
- 2Build polished reference implementations independently, while also pairing with external teams to co-create integrations.
- 3Lead technical discussions with partners, guiding them through the Airwallex platform and architectural decisions.
- 4Identify patterns across partner projects and create playbooks, templates, and reusable REST API approaches.
- 5Capture partner feedback and collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to shape platform improvements.
- 6Raise execution quality by defining team processes and mentoring peers on partner-facing technical work.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in a technical, partner- or customer-facing engineering role such as Solutions Engineer or Solutions Architect.
- 2Hands-on ability to build functional integrations and demos with Node.js and REST APIs.
- 3Proven track record of delivering complex technical work quickly with high quality.
- 4Strong pattern recognition, turning one-off work into scalable playbooks and templates.
- 5Comfortable with ambiguity, driving outcomes with limited structure.
- 6Effective cross-functional influencing through clear communication and credible technical insight.
- 7Experience with startups or external ecosystems strongly preferred.
- 8Background in payments, fintech infrastructure, or developer platforms preferred.
- 9Experience with AI agents, programmable workflows, or emerging use cases a plus.
Salary Insight
$160 - $230k per year
