Overview

You will own pediatric diagnostic testing for a physician-owned ENT and audiology practice in northern New Jersey, with primary location in Hackensack and some travel between nearby offices. This newly created part-time role focuses exclusively on pediatric evaluations, including Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) and Conditioned Play Audiometry (CPA), with no hearing aid sales. You will join a collaborative team of four audiologists and ENT physicians, with the flexibility to increase hours by assisting with vestibular testing if desired. This position offers the chance to shape the pediatric program within a supportive, family-centered environment.

What You'll Do6

  • 1Perform pediatric diagnostic hearing evaluations using OAE, tympanometry, VRA, and CPA
  • 2Evaluate children referred from newborn hearing screenings, ENT procedures, or physician recommendations
  • 3Collaborate with ENT physicians to interpret diagnostic findings and recommend next steps
  • 4Deliver compassionate, family-centered care that supports young patients and their families
  • 5Assist with vestibular VNG testing to expand clinical hours if interested
  • 6Document test results and maintain accurate patient records in the practice's EHR system

Requirements6

  • 1Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from an accredited program
  • 2Current New Jersey state audiology license or eligibility to obtain one
  • 32+ years of pediatric audiology experience, including VRA and CPA
  • 4Experience with OAE and tympanometry in a pediatric setting
  • 5Ability to travel between two nearby offices in the Hackensack area
  • 6Strong communication skills with children and their families
