Overview
The Assistant Paralegal will lead litigation and regulatory support tasks at a large financial firm. You will own case organization analyze evidence and maintain files while serving as a technical advisor. This role blends legal research with document management and requires strong analytical abilities.
What You'll Do11
- 1Provide legal support services to attorneys through case research and drafting communications
- 2Draft standard legal and business documents with guidance from senior staff
- 3Perform legal research using LexisNexis and WestLaw while organizing gathered materials
- 4Maintain libraries of preapproved forms contracts and historical documents
- 5Prepare discovery requests responses and settlement agreements under supervision
- 6Gather witness statements and track vendor invoices for expense reconciliation
- 7Operate case management systems and create internal case databases
- 8Assist with litigation by reviewing claims and preparing draft pleadings
- 9Conduct regulatory research and compile information for compliance submissions
- 10Support attorneys at hearings by maintaining trail notebooks and documentation
- 11Review outside counsel invoices and monitor budget adherence
Requirements6
- 1Associates Degree with one year legal experience in financial services
- 2Certified Paralegal (CP) credential preferred
- 35+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 43-5 seasons managing complex legal projects
- 5Proficiency with AWS Kubernetes environments
- 6Ability to learn NALA certification within six months
