Packing Specialist, Fire and Water Restoration
Overview
Own packing and moving operations for fire and water restoration projects at scale. Lead cross training in water mitigation and support overtime needs. Collaborate with restoration teams to protect personal belongings during emergencies. This role offers training from the ground up and potential higher rates with DOT certification.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and execute packing plans for customer belongings during restoration projects
- 2Ship and move items with care to storage or job sites
- 3Own on call and after hours emergency support rotations
- 4Coordinate with water mitigation team to ensure safe transfer of items
- 5Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and inventory management
- 6Drive and operate moving equipment where permitted by license
- 7Document processes and maintain accurate records for each project
- 8Demonstrate safety practices to protect workers and belongings
- 9Manage time to meet project deadlines and overtime opportunities
- 10Support team with warehouse and storage operations in Severn, MD
Requirements10
- 1Must have availability for mandatory overtime and after hours on-call rotations
- 2Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- 3Clean criminal background with no felonies or theft/assault misdemeanors
- 4Ability to stand for long periods
- 5Ability to lift/carry at least 50 lbs
- 6Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions
- 7DOT card is a big plus and may allow higher starting rate
- 8On-site, Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4:00 pm with potential overtime
- 9Experience in restoration not required but welcomed
- 10Willingness to train from ground up
