What You'll Do5
- 1Build and deliver freight within local and regional Chicago markets while maintaining on-time service and DOT compliance
- 2Operate a late-model tractor, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate Motive ELD logs
- 3Respectfully communicate with dispatch, customers, and loading personnel to ensure correct paperwork and smooth handoffs
- 4Minimize downtime through proactive trip planning, accurate documentation, and efficient route selection
- 5Deliver exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries and maintain a clean, safe tractor
Requirements10
- 1Valid Class A CDL
- 2Own or lease a Class 8 tractor
- 3Valid DOT Medical Card and FMCSA Clearinghouse eligibility
- 4Acceptable MVR with no serious violations or DOT-prohibited status
- 5Ability to pass a DOT drug screen
- 6Professional appearance and customer service attitude
- 7Military driving experience welcome
- 8TWIC card preferred for applicable freight
- 9Experience in intermodal or container freight preferred
- 10Ability to work local and regional routes with flexible schedules
