What You'll Do11
- 1Ensure positive company image through courteous service to customers and team members
- 2Staff, select, and hire personnel to meet operational needs
- 3Promote succession planning by identifying development needs and managing promotions
- 4Document disciplinary actions and recommend discharges
- 5Manage departmental P&L and maintain sales and shrink
- 6Model fast friendly customer service and communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative
- 7Mentor team members to exceed service and sales targets
- 8Maintain store appearance during prime shopping hours
- 9Spend majority of time communicating with customers and team members
- 10Promote safe work environment
- 11Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 22-3 years retail experience
- 3One year management experience
- 4Rotational assignments in store areas like meat bakery produce deli
- 5Proven communication and conflict resolution abilities
- 6Ability to manage multiple tasks
- 7Analytical skills to interpret financial and statistical data
- 8Suggestive selling techniques
- 9Leadership in safe work environments
- 10Certifications as required
