OSHA Training Instructor - CSUDH - Contract
Overview
The OTIEC seeks a qualified temporary instructor to join the CSUDH faculty pool. This part‑time role involves delivering specialized safety training with immediate availability. Successful candidates will design curricula and lead engaging sessions for up to six students.
What You'll Do11
- 1Manage instructor duties including operations and deadlines
- 2Follow CSUDH OTIEC policies and respond to inquiries within 24 hours
- 3Maintain accurate contact information and active faculty account
- 4Prepare and update course materials at least 30 days before start
- 5Review facility instructions and emergency procedures prior to training
- 6Submit printed materials and grades within 72 hours of course completion
- 7Ensure all documentation meets compliance standards
- 8Ship off‑campus course materials immediately
- 9Provide exceptional customer service to students and staff
- 10Demonstrate expertise in adult education techniques and outreach training
- 11Complete required background check and disclose conflicts of interest
Requirements9
- 15+ years teaching experience with OSHA or safety topics
- 2Current knowledge in occupational safety and health training
- 3Minimum 30 hours of recent adult‑education instruction
- 4Recent completion of 10‑hour and 30‑hour outreach training
- 5Valid teaching credential or equivalent professional experience
- 6Ability to travel to on‑site locations as needed
- 7Background check clearance and conflict disclosure
- 8Strong written and verbal communication skills
