What You'll Do11
- 1Manage allocation process ensuring optimal performance under regulatory policies
- 2Oversee chain of custody for blood samples tissues and organs
- 3Analyze clinical data to accept/decline organ offers
- 4Consult with COM OAC II and OAC Lead to resolve case specific barriers
- 5Identify adverse events and recommend process improvements
- 6Complete QA documentation for organ donation
- 7Develop education programs on organ donation for medical stakeholders
- 8Participate in orientation and training of new OACs and staff
- 9Represent organization in national industry groups like AOPO
- 10Investigate inquiries from regulatory agencies such as UNOS
- 11Maintain compliance with federal state and local regulations including CMS and UNOS
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor of Arts or Science degree with 3-5 years experience in organ donation field
- 2Minimum 2 years related healthcare or family care experience
- 3Proven experience in OPO organ allocation systems preferred
- 4Strong interpersonal skills and diplomatic communication abilities
- 5Ability to interpret complex regulatory documents and protocols
- 6Experience managing donor information communication across transplant teams
- 7Track record of improving patient outcomes through process optimization
