Overview
Orderly/Transporter supporting ophthalmology focused ambulatory surgery center at Spectrum Vision Partners. Responsibilities include safely transporting patients escorting patients to vehicles preparing and breaking down operating rooms maintaining clean patient care areas stocking linens and supporting inventory management observing patients and communicating concerns assisting with patient positioning and ensuring safety.
What You'll Do11
- 1Safely transport patients between pre-op operating room post-op and discharge
- 2Escort patients to their vehicles via wheelchair upon discharge
- 3Assist nurses with patient flow throughout the surgery center
- 4Prepare and break down operating rooms between procedures
- 5Assist with OR equipment setup including foot pedals and scopes
- 6Maintain clean and sanitized patient care areas following infection control standards
- 7Dispose of waste properly and report maintenance or repair needs
- 8Stock linens and replenish supplies throughout the facility
- 9Support inventory and materials management
- 10Observe patients and promptly communicate concerns to nursing staff
- 11Assist with safe patient positioning using proper body mechanics
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or GED required
- 2Previous hospital ambulatory surgery center or healthcare experience preferred
- 3BCLS certification preferred
- 4Knowledge of infection control and sterile technique preferred
- 5Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 6Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 7Comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment
