What You'll Do8

  • 1Assist surgeons during oral surgery procedures, ensuring instrument readiness and patient comfort.
  • 2Obtain and process digital radiographs (e.g., CBCT) for implant planning and post-op verification.
  • 3Monitor patient vitals and sedation levels, maintaining sterile technique throughout each case.
  • 4Document surgical narratives and treatment plans in electronic health records, ensuring accuracy.
  • 5Prepare and maintain surgical suites, including autoclave sterilization and inventory management.
  • 6Coordinate with referring dentists to review case details and post-op instructions.
  • 7Support patient education on post-operative care and follow-up protocols.
  • 8Participate in team huddles to review schedules, equipment needs, and potential complications.

Requirements8

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 22+ years chairside experience in oral surgery or periodontics preferred.
  • 3Active radiology certification (e.g., RDA) or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
  • 4DAANCE certification or eligibility to complete within 90 days.
  • 5Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations with calm and precise actions.
  • 6Strong manual dexterity for delicate surgical tasks and instrument handling.
  • 7Excellent communication skills for team collaboration and patient interactions.
  • 8Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when needed.
