Oracle PL/SQL Developer, Oracle Database & Retail
Overview
You will design, develop, and test complex Oracle database programs and enterprise components at Oracle Retail scale. You will partner with technology teams to maintain and enhance packages, procedures, and functions while ensuring standards compliance. Your work will directly support Oracle Cloud Database and Oracle Retail product suites, with a focus on performance tuning and technical documentation. This role offers the chance to work in an Agile environment with Jira and GitLab, and to grow your expertise in a collaborative, hybrid setting.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design, develop, and test complex database programs in PL/SQL for Oracle environments.
- 2Inspect, analyze, and document current functionality in packages, functions, and procedures.
- 3Ensure database programs comply with current development standards and are written correctly.
- 4Performance tune SQL statements and application programs to meet service levels.
- 5Provide technical assistance, problem resolution, and troubleshooting support for production issues.
- 6Create and maintain technical documentation for database programs and processes.
- 7Support Oracle Cloud Database and Oracle Retail product suite environments where applicable.
- 8Actively participate in Agile ceremonies as part of the Scrum Team using Jira.
Requirements10
- 13-5 years of experience in an application development environment.
- 2Strong Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
- 3Experience with all phases of the SDLC, including analysis, design, unit testing, system testing, deployment, and production support.
- 4Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or equivalent database development tools.
- 5Oracle Retail experience preferred.
- 6Experience with Oracle Forms preferred.
- 7Basic GitLab and SVN knowledge.
- 8Introductory knowledge of Agile methodology and Jira.
- 9Excellent listening, verbal, written communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
- 10Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
