Overview
You will support two optometrists in a downtown LA practice, managing front desk flow and patient eyewear selection. You'll start with phones, scheduling, and insurance verification, then train to fit frames and deliver finished glasses. You will work directly with patients and staff, using Compulink EHR to keep records accurate. This role suits a detail-oriented person who thrives on patient interaction and wants to grow in eye care. You'll be the first and last face patients see, shaping their experience daily.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet patients and manage the front desk, scheduling appointments and answering phone calls.
- 2Verify insurance coverage and process payments using Compulink EHR.
- 3Assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames based on fit, style, and prescription needs.
- 4Deliver and adjust finished eyewear to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- 5Maintain a clean and organized reception area and exam rooms.
- 6Support optometrists during exams by preparing rooms and handling equipment.
- 7Handle medical billing tasks, including posting payments and resolving claim issues.
- 8Answer patient questions about vision insurance, appointments, and eyewear orders.
Requirements8
- 11+ years in an optometric or medical front office role preferred.
- 2Proficiency with Compulink or similar EHR systems.
- 3Knowledge of medical billing and insurance verification processes.
- 4Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 5Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinical environment.
- 6Spanish fluency required to serve diverse patients.
- 7Reside within 30 minutes commute to Downtown Los Angeles.
- 8Ability to commute to Los Angeles, CA 90013.
