Overview
Operations & Strategy Fellow at Michigan Black Business Alliance leads strategic initiatives to improve organizational systems and processes. What You'll Do10
- 1Support development and maintenance of operations manual and SOP library through workflow documentation and process mapping
- 2Maintain Monday.com workspaces including project trackers and status dashboards
- 3Preserve key organizational tools such as operating calendar and grant database
- 4Assist with grant administration by tracking deadlines and preparing documentation
- 5Provide project-management support for organizational initiatives including planning and follow-up
- 6Conduct research and benchmarking for nonprofit operations and economic development projects
- 7Organize recurring operational reporting and prepare progress updates for leadership
- 8Complete a capstone project identifying and solving operational challenges
- 9Collaborate with cross-functional teams across programs, membership, and external partners
- 10Report to Chief Operating Officer and work in Detroit based environment
Requirements8
- 1Currently pursuing or recently completed undergraduate or graduate degree in business public administration nonprofit management finance information systems public policy
- 2Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- 3Proficiency with spreadsheets and project management tools like Monday.com
- 4Excellent written communication abilities and attention to detail
- 5Curiosity and problem-solving mindset with willingness to ask questions
- 6Sound judgment for handling confidential organizational information
- 7Genuine interest in Black entrepreneurship and economic development
- 8Detroit residency required for onsite work arrangement
