- 6Maintain accurate emergency management reports and investigate incidents
- 7Provide media briefings and support families of affected personnel
- 8Advise Deputy Directors on operational strategy and resource allocation
- 9Implement ICS training for city agencies and external partners
- 10Manage auxiliary communications systems and critical infrastructure liaison
- 11Oversee EOC operations and liaise with regional emergency groups
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field with 5+ years experience
- 2Advanced degree or certification preferred in emergency management
- 3Proven grant administration expertise with federal and state programs
- 4Minimum 3 years experience in public policy or emergency response roles
- 5Excellent leadership and crisis management skills
- 6Valid Maryland driver’s license and ability to obtain city permit
- 7Strong analytical abilities for budget oversight and risk assessment
- 8Experience with CBRNE materials and disaster preparedness frameworks
- 9Effective written and oral communication for stakeholder engagement
- 10Ability to develop strategic plans for large-scale emergency initiatives
- 11Background in public health preparedness and community outreach
