Overview

You will own all field operations for Color Burst Landscapes in Nashville, driving daily crew performance and customer satisfaction. Leading 5+ crews and reporting to the Branch Manager, you will orchestrate job scheduling, quality audits, and safety compliance while partnering with Account Managers to resolve issues and grow revenue. You will manage snow operations in winter, control labor and material costs, and develop crew leaders through coaching and 1-on-1s. This role offers the chance to shape branch success in a hands-on leadership position that blends field expertise with strategic planning.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Lead Morning Huddles to align crews on daily goals, job specs, and safety expectations for 5+ crews.
  • 2Coordinate with Account Managers on scopes, schedules, and feedback to balance workload and meet client needs.
  • 3Conduct site visits to inspect quality, enforce safety standards, and coach crews on proper landscape maintenance techniques.
  • 4Approve timesheets and verify work logs for payroll accuracy, monitoring labor and material usage against budgets.
  • 5Prepare job materials including maps, planners, and purchase orders, ensuring property info and special requirements are current.
  • 6Escalate and resolve field-related customer issues, identifying enhancement opportunities to boost loyalty.
  • 7Recruit, interview, and onboard new crew members, conducting weekly 1-on-1s to set performance goals.
  • 8Manage snow operations during winter, overseeing removal tasks and post-event reporting with safety as priority.
  • 9Support branch planning by providing operational insights and contributing to strategic decisions.

Requirements8

  • 13-5 years in the landscape industry with a solid grasp of production, maintenance, and service delivery.
  • 22-3 years managing field operations, production crews, or site-level services, including direct crew leadership.
  • 3Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
  • 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, reporting, and communication.
  • 5Track record of enforcing safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance.
  • 6Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to handle multiple schedules and crews simultaneously.
  • 7Proven ability to manage labor and material budgets, validating job costing data.
  • 8Experience with ERP, job scheduling, or routing tools is a plus.
