Oncology RN, Infusion Center Coverage
Overview
As an Oncology RN at Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers, you will deliver chemotherapy and infusion treatments across our Phoenix-area infusion centers. You will monitor patients for reactions, intervene appropriately, and maintain high standards of care and safety. You will adapt quickly to different clinic environments and work with diverse teams. Your primary tools will be EPIC EMR, Chemo/Bio Certification, and OCN credentials. This role offers a Sign On Bonus for qualified applicants and the chance to make a direct impact on cancer care.
What You'll Do9
- 1Deliver safe and effective chemotherapy and infusion treatments to oncology patients
- 2Monitor patients for adverse reactions and intervene promptly using BLS protocols
- 3Maintain high standards of patient care and safety, upholding PPE guidelines
- 4Adapt quickly to different clinic environments and provider teams
- 5Document patient assessments and interventions accurately within EPIC EMR
- 6Coordinate with oncologists and nurse practitioners to adjust treatment plans
- 7Educate patients and families on treatment side effects and self-care
- 8Manage central lines and infusion pumps, ensuring proper function
- 9Respond to infusion reactions with emergency measures, including Code Blue procedures
Requirements8
- 1Active AZ RN License
- 2ONS Chemo/Bio Certification or OCN
- 3Current CPR certification
- 4Valid driver's license
- 52+ years of oncology or infusion nursing experience
- 6Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred
- 7Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in fast-changing environments
- 8Excellent communication skills with a patient-first mindset
