Overview
As a Specialist Off Field Operations at DICK'S Sporting Goods, you own inventory accuracy, fulfillment, and operational execution that keeps the store athlete-ready. Working within a full-time store team of 10-20 members, you support critical processes behind the scenes. What You'll Do9
- 1Engage athletes to understand their shopping needs, providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
- 2Anticipate athlete needs to actively drive sales through product and service recommendations.
- 3Assist with onboarding and training of new and existing team members, focusing on best practices, expected selling skills, and key operational processes.
- 4Serve as the go-to expert in designated process categories, ensuring smooth execution and high productivity.
- 5Execute processes with an athlete-first mindset, ensuring products are ready for purchase and athletes are engaged when, where, and how they want.
- 6Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, and inventory replenishment standards.
- 7Promote customer participation in company programs such as loyalty program, warranty sales, and private label credit card enrollment.
- 8Create a store environment where everyone, teammates and athletes, are always welcome and treated with respect.
- 9Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 21-3 years of experience, with previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.
- 3Proven ability to deliver outstanding athlete experiences by engaging and understanding customer needs.
- 4Demonstrated skill in training and onboarding new team members on operational processes.
- 5Track record of executing operational tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- 6Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
- 7Ability to uphold merchandising standards and follow detailed floor set plans.
- 8Commitment to following safety and loss prevention policies.
