Master’s or Doctoral nursing degree in Nursing with an active Washington APRN license leads a full-time role evaluating and managing pulmonary and sleep disorders at a regional medical center. You will collaborate with pulmonologists, sleep specialists, and respiratory therapy teams to deliver evidence-based care at scale in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You’ll work with advanced diagnostic and sleep lab technology and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that elevate patient outcomes.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and manage outpatient visits, follow-ups, and care plans for pulmonary and sleep patients with conditions such as COPD, asthma, sleep apnea, and insomnia
  • 2Assess and treat pulmonary disorders using PFTs and imaging, and interpret diagnostic studies to optimize care
  • 3Collaborate with pulmonologists, sleep physicians, and respiratory therapists to coordinate multidisciplinary care
  • 4Educate patients on CPAP/BiPAP therapy, inhaler technique, and lifestyle modifications to improve adherence
  • 5Document encounters accurately in the EMR and maintain timely charting
  • 6Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives to raise care standards
  • 7Support daytime clinic operations and ensure continuity of care across services
  • 8Assist in program development for pulmonary rehabilitation and sleep medicine services
  • 9Contribute to patient education materials and care pathways to standardize care
  • 10Stay current with clinical guidelines and contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and case discussions

Requirements5

  • 1Master’s or Doctoral nursing degree from an accredited program
  • 2Active Washington State APRN license (or eligibility)
  • 3Board Certified as FNP, Adult/Gerontology NP, or Acute Care NP
  • 4Experience in pulmonary, sleep medicine, or hospital-based settings preferred
  • 5Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
