Nurse Practitioner Outpatient Surgery
Overview
The role involves owning patient evaluation and management of vascular surgery patients within a fully outpatient setting. This position collaborates closely with board-certified vascular surgeons in a multidisciplinary care model.
What You'll Do11
- 1Perform comprehensive patient evaluations including medical histories and physical examinations
- 2Assess presenting symptoms risk factors family history and psychosocial factors
- 3Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
- 4Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- 5Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments according to state regulations
- 6Provide patient education regarding diagnoses treatment plans and preventative care
- 7Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- 8Provide follow-up care and ongoing health maintenance for vascular surgery patients
- 9Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- 10Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
- 11Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Requirements5
- 1Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- 2Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license and Registered Nurse license
- 3Board certification through ANCC or AANP in New York State
- 4DEA license required
- 5BLS certification required

$135 - $150k per year
