Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner - TLC Vascular
Overview
TLC Vascular seeks a skilled Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner to lead outpatient peripheral vascular disease management and support. The ideal candidate will deliver advanced cardiovascular care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary vascular team. This part-time position offers flexibility while providing full-time opportunities.
What You'll Do11
- 1Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular and peripheral vascular assessments including history physical exam and diagnostic interpretation
- 2Manage chronic conditions such as peripheral artery disease chronic venous insufficiency hypertension and coronary artery disease
- 3Support peripheral vascular program through pre-procedure evaluations and post-procedure assessments
- 4Perform education on procedure expectations wound care and lifestyle modifications
- 5Order and interpret diagnostic tests like EKGs vascular ultrasounds ankle-brachial index studies echocardiograms stress tests and laboratory results
- 6Assist with triage of vascular patients and coordinate procedure scheduling
- 7Provide medication management including anticoagulation review antiplatelet therapy and vascular-specific treatment plans
- 8Collaborate closely with supervising physicians ensuring compliance with California standards
- 9Coordinate referrals to vascular surgery wound care or advanced imaging as needed
- 10Document all patient encounters and care plans in the electronic health record
- 11Participate in quality initiatives focused on vascular outcomes patient flow and procedure efficiency
Requirements9
- 1Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification
- 2Active unrestricted California RN license and California Nurse Practitioner license
- 3Valid California NP furnishing number and DEA registration or eligibility
- 4National Board Certification as AGACNP FNP ANP or equivalent
- 5Experience in cardiology vascular medicine interventional radiology or peripheral vascular procedures preferred
- 6Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- 7Strong clinical organizational and communication skills
- 8Physical stamina for frequent standing walking and patient interaction
- 9EHR proficiency and ability to manage high-volume patient flow
