Nurse Practitioner or PA, Structural Heart Cardiology
Overview
You will manage structural heart patients across clinic and hospital settings at Intermountain Medical Center, coordinating care for pre- and post-operative cases. You will work closely with physicians, seeing new patients and following routine visits, while also rotating weekend consults. This full-time role offers 4 ten-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will practice at the top of your licensure, supported by a dedicated team and generous benefits.
What You'll Do8
- 1Evaluate and treat new and existing structural heart patients in the clinic and hospital, collaborating with physicians.
- 2Monitor pre- and post-operative inpatients, adjusting care plans and documenting progress.
- 3Perform procedures within your scope, including consults and rounds on structural heart patients during weekend rotations.
- 4Prescribe medications and devices per consultation and referral plans, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- 5Educate patients, families, and clinical staff on treatment plans and preventive care.
- 6Consult with other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care.
- 7Document all clinical encounters accurately and timely in EPIC.
- 8Participate in continuous learning and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements8
- 1Current state license as an APRN or PA.
- 2Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- 3Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
- 4Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
- 5BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
- 6Other certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
- 71+ year of experience as an NP or PA in a cardiology setting.
- 8New grads considered with cardiology rotations or prior cardiology experience.
