Night Replenishment Manager, Retail Operations
Overview
You own overnight freight operations at a high-volume Home Depot store, directing truck unload, packout, and packdown to keep shelves stocked and the store ready for opening. You lead a team of hourly associates, coaching them on safety and productivity while partnering with the Night Operations ASM on performance and hiring. This role puts you in charge of the entire overnight shift, often as the only manager on duty. You'll shape store readiness and associate development in a fast-paced retail environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Direct the Consistent Unload, Directed Packout, and Purge Packdown processes to ensure all freight moves smoothly from truck to shelf.
- 2Conduct quality walks to verify packout accuracy and correct any issues before the store opens.
- 3Coach associates in the moment on safety and productivity, using recognition tools like BRAVO and Homer to reinforce positive behaviors.
- 4Partner with the Night Operations ASM on formal performance conversations, discipline, and talent planning for hourly associates.
- 5Approve time cards, resolve punches and variances, and manage call-outs to maintain full staffing overnight.
- 6Ensure all trucks are unloaded on schedule and all freight is packed out or safely stored in overhead.
- 7Lead safety compliance by enforcing PPE use, safe lifting techniques, and lift equipment distances, correcting hazards immediately.
- 8Handle Closing and MOD duties, including hand-off walks and validation of daily store priorities with ASMs and SMs.
- 9Ensure associates complete all store checklists and that equipment is functioning properly before shift end.
Requirements6
- 11+ year of experience in retail operations, preferably in freight handling or store leadership.
- 2High school diploma or GED required.
- 3Ability to work overnight shifts and lead a team in a physically demanding environment.
- 4Must be 18 years or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
- 5Experience directing unload and packout processes, with knowledge of SOPs and safety standards.
- 6Strong coaching and communication skills to train associates on store policies.
