What You'll Do11
- 1Audit and balance all food and beverage outlets including restaurants lounges banquets and room service cash and credit operations resetting registers and preparing reports
- 2Audit front desk activities such as room charges phone calls and zero balance folios to ensure accuracy and proper cash handling
- 3Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for daily reports
- 4Balance and close all bank ticket codes daily
- 5Run night audit after verifying all revenues are balanced
- 6Greet and complete check-in procedures using manual and computerized methods
- 7Facilitate guest departure by closing accounts and opening rooms
- 8Maintain customer relations through knowledge of hotel functions
- 9Operate PBX equipment to accept calls schedule wake-up calls and page guests
- 10Perform express checkouts as part of front desk clerk duties
- 11Compile facts and figures related to financial transactions
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 2Ability to operate personal computer cash register and calculator
- 3Strong telephone and guest relations etiquette
- 4Moderate hearing and excellent vision for CRT screens
- 5Physical stamina for prolonged standing bending and kneeling reaching all areas of the hotel
- 6Experience with accounting principles preferred
- 75+ years of relevant experience
