What You'll Do11

  • 1Audit and balance all food and beverage outlets including restaurants lounges banquets and room service cash and credit operations resetting registers and preparing reports
  • 2Audit front desk activities such as room charges phone calls and zero balance folios to ensure accuracy and proper cash handling
  • 3Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for daily reports
  • 4Balance and close all bank ticket codes daily
  • 5Run night audit after verifying all revenues are balanced
  • 6Greet and complete check-in procedures using manual and computerized methods
  • 7Facilitate guest departure by closing accounts and opening rooms
  • 8Maintain customer relations through knowledge of hotel functions
  • 9Operate PBX equipment to accept calls schedule wake-up calls and page guests
  • 10Perform express checkouts as part of front desk clerk duties
  • 11Compile facts and figures related to financial transactions

Requirements7

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2Ability to operate personal computer cash register and calculator
  • 3Strong telephone and guest relations etiquette
  • 4Moderate hearing and excellent vision for CRT screens
  • 5Physical stamina for prolonged standing bending and kneeling reaching all areas of the hotel
  • 6Experience with accounting principles preferred
  • 75+ years of relevant experience
