Hotel Night Auditor, Overnight Front Desk & Auditing
Overview
You will own overnight hotel operations at a Comfort Suites property, managing front desk tasks and financial audits from 11pm to 7am. You will be the primary guest contact, ensuring safety and satisfaction while reconciling daily revenue. Working with a small overnight team, you'll report directly to the Front Office Manager. This role offers a chance to master OPERA and build a career in hospitality management.
What You'll Do6
- 1Greet guests arriving and departing during overnight hours, resolving issues with a focus on guest comfort.
- 2Audit all financial transactions using OPERA or similar PMS, verifying accounts and processing payments.
- 3Reconcile daily revenue reports, identifying and correcting discrepancies before morning handover.
- 4Patrol public areas and monitor CCTV to enforce safety protocols, responding to incidents per emergency procedures.
- 5Document shift activities in detailed logs, including incidents, maintenance issues, and guest requests.
- 6Collaborate with housekeeping and security teams to resolve overnight problems, from room issues to guest complaints.
Requirements7
- 11+ years in hotel front desk or night audit role, with hands-on OPERA experience.
- 2Proficiency with property management systems, especially OPERA or similar platforms.
- 3Strong customer service skills, with bilingual abilities (Spanish or other) as a plus.
- 4Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and guest relations best practices.
- 5Excellent phone etiquette for handling guest inquiries via phone and in person.
- 6Ability to solve problems quickly under pressure, maintaining a positive attitude.
- 7Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
