What You'll Do6

  • 1Build and monitor continuous neonatal care for premature and critically ill neonates to achieve stable vital signs.
  • 2Design and manage respiratory support including ventilators, CPAP, and oxygen therapy with careful titration.
  • 3Administer medications and IV therapy with precise neonatal dosing to optimize outcomes.
  • 4Support thermoregulation, feeding, and developmental care to promote growth and family-centered care.
  • 5Educate and support families through the infant's NICU stay, coordinating with the care team.
  • 6Document assessments, interventions, and infant responses in the medical record with accuracy.

Requirements6

  • 1Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
  • 2Minimum 1-2 years of NICU or pediatric critical care nursing experience Preferred
  • 3Current RN license in state of practice Required
  • 4Basic Life Support BLS certification Required
  • 5Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP certification Required
  • 6Certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing RNC-NIC Preferred
