Overview

You will build and lead a specialty OT program for neurodivergent adolescents and adults at Kansas City Psychology, integrating with psychological and mental health services. What You'll Do9

  • 1Design and conduct occupational therapy evaluations for adolescents and adults with autism, ADHD, and sensory differences.
  • 2Assess sensory processing and regulation patterns, then craft individualized treatment plans with practical goals.
  • 3Deliver interventions targeting sensory coping strategies and reduce overstimulation in daily life.
  • 4Coach clients on executive functioning skills: organization, planning, initiation, time management, and task completion.
  • 5Support daily living, adaptive, and independent living skills through real-world practice and environmental modifications.
  • 6Educate clients and families on strategies for managing transitions, routines, and sensory demands at home, school, and work.
  • 7Collaborate with psychologists and therapists to integrate OT into comprehensive care plans.
  • 8Maintain precise documentation and treatment plans to track progress and outcomes.
  • 9Drive program growth by refining service delivery and adding new offerings.

Requirements8

  • 1Master's or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • 2Current OT licensure or eligibility in Missouri.
  • 3NBCOT certification as applicable.
  • 42+ years experience with autism, ADHD, or sensory processing populations.
  • 5Strong clinical reasoning in sensory integration and executive functioning coaching.
  • 6Excellent communication for client education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • 7Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and initiative.
  • 8Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, client-centered care.
