Network Engineer, Cybersecurity & Cloud Networking at AACR
Overview
Own and evolve our secure, scalable network across multiple offices and data centers at AACR. You’ll manage SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and core network services at scale while ensuring high availability. Collaborate with IT and program teams to enable mission delivery and protect sensitive data. This role blends hands-on networking with security and disaster recovery to maintain resilient connectivity.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and manage SD-WAN and VPN architectures to ensure secure, reliable connectivity across distributed offices
- 2Design and enforce firewall, switches, routers, and wireless configurations to optimize performance and security
- 3Monitor, diagnose, and resolve network bottlenecks and outages to meet service level objectives
- 4Administer and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for data integrity and business continuity
- 5Implement and oversee EDR and MDR security controls and ensure IT security compliance
- 6Support data center infrastructure and virtualization platforms to sustain core network services
- 7Collaborate with teams to translate programmatic needs into scalable network solutions
- 8Maintain comprehensive network documentation including diagrams, IP schemas, and configuration records
- 9Provide Tier 2/3 support for network incidents and mentor junior staff
- 10Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity testing and planning
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
- 2Minimum 5 years hands-on network engineering experience
- 3Advanced expertise with Cisco technologies including SD-WAN MPLS and VoIP
- 4Hands-on experience with cloud networking architectures such as Azure VNet and AWS VPC
- 5Familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMware or similar
- 6Proficient with network monitoring and performance tools such as LogicMonitor and PRTG
- 7Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous documentation abilities
- 8Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- 9Certifications a plus (CCNA CCNP Security Azure AWS)
- 10Background in cybersecurity with practical network security experience
