
Network Development Consultant, Global Network Strategy
Overview
Define and implement global network strategies that maximize secure application, information, and resource sharing across the company. Coordinate with Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5 vendors and internal departments to procure network hardware, software, and services. Investigate and resolve network inefficiencies to improve performance and reliability. This role stands out for its end-to-end ownership of network strategy and execution in a large enterprise environment.
What You'll Do7
- 1Define network business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Cisco and Palo Alto solutions.
- 2Design secure network architectures that connect global sites while ensuring optimal performance.
- 3Coordinate with vendors (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, F5) for hardware and software procurement and service contracts.
- 4Implement network changes and upgrades across LAN, WAN, and cloud environments.
- 5Investigate and resolve network problems, including performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
- 6Collaborate with internal departments to align network strategies with business goals.
- 7Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configuration standards.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in network engineering or consulting, focusing on enterprise LAN/WAN design.
- 2Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and ASA firewalls.
- 3Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and MPLS routing protocols.
- 4Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and F5 load balancers.
- 5Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6Ability to manage multiple projects and vendors simultaneously.
- 7Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
