Overview
You will own backend services for the E-Citations application, a critical court system handling millions of citations annually. Working with .NET 8 and Azure, you will build secure APIs and integrate with legacy systems used by judges and clerks. Your team spans backend, frontend, and QA, collaborating daily with city stakeholders. Unlike typical consulting roles, you will see direct impact in the courtroom within your first month.

- 1Build RESTful APIs in .NET 8 that process citation data, reducing manual data entry errors.
- 2Integrate Azure Service Bus to automate citation workflow between court and DMV systems, cutting processing time by 30%.
- 3Ship OAuth2-secured endpoints for law enforcement and court staff, ensuring compliance with CJIS standards.
- 4Debug production incidents using Application Insights and resolve root causes within 24 hours of alert.
- 5Design database schemas in SQL Server for citation records, handling 2M+ annual transactions.
- 6Lead migration of legacy .NET Framework services to .NET Core containers on Azure Kubernetes Service.
- 7Collaborate with frontend engineers to define GraphQL contracts for real-time citation lookup.
- 8Drive code reviews and pair programming sessions to maintain 90%+ unit test coverage.
Requirements8
- 15+ years building backend services with .NET and C#.
- 22+ years working with Azure services: Service Bus, Functions, Application Insights.
- 3Experience designing and securing REST APIs with JWT or OAuth2.
- 4Strong SQL skills in SQL Server or Azure SQL for complex queries and performance tuning.
- 5Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience for containerized microservices.
- 6Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
