Overview
Architect and lead the migration of legacy monoliths to cloud-native microservices on AWS, serving a global financial client base. Partner with platform and delivery teams across New York and Fort Mill to set technical direction. You will own the modernization roadmap, enforce .NET standards, and drive Angular front-end integration. This role pairs deep technical leadership with client-facing architecture decisions.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design and lead the migration of monolithic .NET applications to AWS microservices, defining the target state architecture.
- 2Own the modernization roadmap for Angular front-ends, ensuring seamless integration with AWS-hosted APIs.
- 3Drive the adoption of cloud-native patterns including Lambda, ECS, and API Gateway to improve scalability and reduce operational overhead.
- 4Lead technical discovery sessions with financial clients to map legacy systems and define migration strategies.
- 5Mentor development teams on .NET best practices, AWS services, and clean architecture principles.
- 6Enforce code quality and security standards across the platform, focusing on PCI-DSS and financial regulations.
- 7Collaborate with product owners to translate business requirements into technical designs, balancing legacy constraints with cloud innovation.
Requirements7
- 115+ years in software engineering with a focus on .NET and C#.
- 25+ years architecting AWS solutions, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
- 33+ years leading front-end modernization with Angular (v2+).
- 4Proven track record migrating monolithic legacy applications to microservices on AWS.
- 5Experience in the financial services domain, with a solid grasp of compliance and security.
- 6Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- 7Strong communication skills to present architectural decisions to C-level stakeholders.
