Overview
Nanny for a caring family in Plymouth, MN, starting this November. You will own afternoon caregiving for a 6-year-old, guiding activities and maintaining a safe, engaging routine. You’ll work with a dad and daughter team to support independence through hands-on activities and shared responsibilities. What You'll Do9
- 1Build engaging, screen-free afternoons with outdoor play, creative activities, and at-home projects
- 2Prepare and serve dinner around 5:30 p.m. and provide snacks as needed
- 3Complete child’s laundry and maintain organized routines
- 4Guide bedtime routine starting around 7:30 p.m. and stay until ~8:30 p.m.
- 5Support independence by offering choices and gentle guidance while setting clear boundaries
- 6Walk home from the bus with the child and help transition into home activities
- 7Adapt activities to maintain safety and positive behavior in a home setting
- 8Communicate with parents about daily progress and schedule
- 9Create a warm, inclusive environment that respects family routines
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 2 years of childcare experience with children around 6 years old
- 2Compassionate, upbeat caregiver with a patient, big-sister energy
- 3Familiarity with the Jewish faith or Hebrew language is a plus
- 4Ability to manage after-school schedule from 3:00 p.m. start time
- 5Willingness to work Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Friday 3-5:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m., with potential for a full weekend day
- 6Reliable in-person presence at home in Plymouth, MN
- 7Capable of light cooking and laundry duties for the child
- 8Strong communication with parents and adherence to safety guidelines
- 9Ability to start in November and commit through mid-May
- 10Comfort with following CDC hygiene practices in a household setting
