What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and repair plastic injection molds to specification and schedule
  • 2Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical specs to guide assembly and troubleshooting
  • 3Perform precision fitting, benching, polishing, and mold assembly tasks to achieve high-tolerance results
  • 4Operate manual and basic CNC equipment such as surface grinders, milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and saws
  • 5Collaborate with CNC and EDM departments to support mold manufacturing processes
  • 6Inspect mold components with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators and document results
  • 7Diagnose mold issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
  • 8Perform engineering changes, modifications, refurbishments, and routine mold maintenance
  • 9Assist with mold testing and troubleshooting during mold trials to validate designs
  • 10Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements7

  • 1Journeyman Toolmaker/Mold Maker certification preferred
  • 2Experience with tool and die, mold, machine operating, troubleshooting, and machining
  • 3Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • 4Experience with multi-cavity injection molds
  • 5Experience in EDM, wire EDM, CNC machining, or mold design
  • 6Familiarity with die cast tooling and knowledge of mold flow, cooling circuits, and hot runner systems
  • 7Onsite, full-time work in Somerset, NJ
