The Merchandise Return Technician inspects tests and repairs returned grills and related products. This entry level role provides training on company products procedures and repair processes. What You'll Do11
- 1Inspect returned grills for damage defects or missing parts
- 2Review returned merchandise information to understand reported problems
- 3Test products to identify and reproduce reported issues
- 4Troubleshoot mechanical ignition electrical and gas flow concerns using established procedures
- 5Disassemble and reassemble grills and components for inspection and repair
- 6Replace damaged defective or worn components as directed
- 7Perform basic repairs and adjustments following company guidelines
- 8Test products after repairs to confirm proper operation
- 9Follow safety procedures when working with grills gas components electrical tools and testing equipment
- 10Document identified problems repairs performed and final product condition
- 11Determine if merchandise can be repaired returned to inventory used for parts or requires further evaluation
Requirements9
- 1Entry level position with no prior grill repair experience required
- 2Basic mechanical aptitude and hands on skills
- 3Comfortable using hand tools and performing basic assembly disassembly tasks
- 4Ability to follow operational procedures and learn product testing troubleshooting processes
- 5Willingness to learn safe operation testing and repair of company products
- 6Physical ability to stand bend reach kneel and perform hands on work throughout the day
- 7Ability to safely use hand and power tools after appropriate training
