MEP Project Engineer, HVAC & Building Systems
Overview
You will own MEP project delivery from assessment through construction administration for commercial, residential, and institutional buildings. You will design HVAC systems including boilers, chillers, and cooling towers, and produce AutoCAD drawings. You will work directly with clients and senior engineers, expanding your project leadership. This role offers a path to greater responsibility in a top-rated consulting firm.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design HVAC systems including boilers, chillers, and cooling towers for building upgrades.
- 2Perform site inspections and field assessments of existing building conditions.
- 3Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and bid documents.
- 4Create and modify MEP drawings using AutoCAD in coordination with drafting teams.
- 5Review designs for compliance with NYC building codes and industry standards.
- 6Lead client meetings and project walkthroughs with owners, contractors, and consultants.
- 7Coordinate project schedules, documentation, and engineering deliverables.
- 8Support construction administration activities to ensure accurate and on-time completion.
Requirements7
- 13+ years of MEP engineering or design experience.
- 2Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
- 3Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- 4Familiarity with NYC building codes and relevant engineering standards.
- 5Experience performing site inspections or construction administration.
- 6Strong communication and client interaction skills.
- 7Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Salary Insight
$85 - $90k per year
