What You'll Do8
- 1Craft and refine evaluation frameworks for AI in economic contexts, including benchmarks, scoring systems, and quality criteria
- 2Pursue empirical research on economic reasoning and translate results into measurable AI performance gains
- 3Build datasets, test cases, and benchmark environments that mirror real-world economics and policy challenges
- 4Work closely with researchers, economists, engineers, and product teams to assess and enhance economics-focused AI models and agentic systems
- 5Examine model behavior to identify failure modes and uncover opportunities for methodological improvements
- 6Apply econometric methods, causal inference, and statistics to evaluate AI capabilities on economic tasks

Requirements9
- 1PhD in Economics or a closely related quantitative field
- 23–5 years of post doctoral or industry experience in applied economic research
- 3Expertise in areas such as labor economics, macroeconomics, industrial organization, productivity, or AI economics
- 4Strong background in econometrics and causal inference
- 5Experience handling large datasets with SQL and programming in Python or R
- 6Proven track record of empirical research or developing analytical methodologies
- 7Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- 8Excellent written and verbal communication, with history of research reports or policy briefs
- 9Experience collaborating across research, engineering, product, or policy teams
