Overview

We’re looking for seasoned economists and finance experts to craft and review rigorous academic assessment content for an AI research effort. The role focuses on developing and validating multiple-choice questions across core economics and finance topics, evaluating answer quality, and helping set gold-standard benchmarks to push AI capabilities forward. You’ll work asynchronously from anywhere, contributing through two task tracks: authoring original questions or verifying and refining existing ones. The project spans domains like market microstructure, macroprudential policy, behavioral finance, urban economics, and tokenomics.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Create original economics and finance questions that probe deep concepts rather than surface facts
  • 2Ensure prompts are clear, self-contained, and fully specified with all needed information
  • 3Assign a difficulty level to each item and categorize as Medium, Hard, or Expert
  • 4Develop one correct answer plus nine plausible distractors to challenge advanced solvers
  • 5Provide step-by-step solution reasoning in a concise, markdown-friendly format
  • 6Include 1 to 5 scholarly references per question from reputable sources
  • 7During verification tasks, highlight ambiguities or solvability issues and justify any edits

Requirements5

  • 1PhD or doctoral candidate in Economics, Finance, or a closely related field
  • 2Master’s degree considered for exceptional depth in a subfield
  • 3Strong grasp of graduate-level economic theory, quantitative methods, and financial modeling
  • 4Experience with academic research and, ideally, CFA/CPA credentials or financial industry exposure
  • 5Excellent written English with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly

Who Should Apply

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated economist or finance professional who thrives in scholarly work, can translate complex theories into clear assessment items, and can work independently in a remote, asynchronous setting.

Salary Insight

Compensation ranges from $77.00 to $98.00 per hour for remote, hourly engagement.
