Medical Screener, plasma donation center & healthcare support
Overview
Own the donor screening experience from greeting to data entry and vital signs in a plasma center. You will ensure donor safety and accurate documentation in a regulatory environment. You’ll work with a supportive team focused on delivering life-saving therapies and a positive donor experience. This role offers hands-on healthcare procedures, customer service, and compliance responsibilities in a fast-paced center.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build donor screening workflow, collect vital signs, and perform fingerstick sampling to measure hematocrit and total protein
- 2Guide donors through health history forms and determine if medical review is needed
- 3Prepare and calibrate screening equipment according to SOPs and troubleshoot as needed
- 4Monitor donor safety during screening and donation, reporting adverse reactions to medical staff
- 5Maintain accurate donor records and ensure documentation meets cGMP and regulatory requirements
- 6Operate internal systems including NDDR and CDCS per approved guidelines
- 7Support plasmapheresis processes by preparing collection machines and assisting with disconnection
- 8Participate in center audits with accurate records and compliance documentation
- 9Collaborate with staff to meet production goals and maintain a positive donor experience
- 10Handle donor and public inquiries with courteous, knowledgeable communication
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2At least 1 year of customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or plasma/blood collection
- 3Clinical Laboratory Personnel license required in the State of Louisiana
- 4Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 5Detail-oriented with commitment to regulatory compliance
- 6Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- 7Familiarity with FDA, cGMP, and OSHA standards is a plus
- 8Employment eligibility verification required
