Medical Laboratory Technologist, Mobile Point of Care Lab
Overview
Own the mobile point of care lab operations for STAT post-acute care testing at scale. You will perform waived tests, process specimens, manage quality control, and enter data in the lab system in a dynamic mobile setting. Collaborate with phlebotomy and courier teams to ensure timely results. This role blends clinical accuracy with field operations and requires hands-on isolation of testing in a remote environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform waived testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Molecular, and Coagulation in a mobile lab
- 2Enter patient demographics, orders, and results into the laboratory information system to maintain accurate records
- 3Perform quality control and instrument maintenance to ensure reliable results
- 4Confirm abnormal findings and escalate unusual results to the appropriate team
- 5Assist with specimen processing, inventory management, and documentation for mobile operations
- 6Operate the mobile lab van when required and ensure vehicle readiness
- 7Support STAT turnaround times for post-acute care patients
- 8Coordinate with phlebotomy and courier teams to streamline specimen handling
- 9Maintain compliance with California MLT licensing and safety protocols
- 10Document workflow changes and contribute to process improvements
Requirements6
- 1California MLT license required
- 2Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 3Familiarity with laboratory workflow and testing procedures
- 4Previous phlebotomy experience preferred
- 5High school diploma or equivalent
- 6COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
