Overview
The Point of Care Laboratory Technician will own waived laboratory testing in a mobile setting. You will collect specimens perform tests and report results while maintaining compliance. This role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.
What You'll Do11
- 1Perform waived laboratory testing including Chemistry Hematology Urinalysis Molecular and Coagulation
- 2Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary draws
- 3Receive and process specimens from phlebotomists and couriers
- 4Enter patient demographics test orders and results into the laboratory information system
- 5Perform quality control checks and maintain QC documentation
- 6Verify abnormal results and notify supervisors of critical findings
- 7Maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot equipment issues
- 8Monitor STAT testing turnaround times
- 9Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies
- 10Follow all laboratory safety protocols and regulatory standards
- 11Operate the company van when required
Requirements5
- 1Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) in California
- 2Valid California Driver's License with a good driving record
- 3Previous phlebotomy and laboratory testing experience preferred
- 4High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
