Overview
We seek a detail-oriented Billing/Insurance Account Representative to manage weekly billing for commercial insurance companies and state Medicaid programs. The ideal candidate will generate and submit accurate claims while maintaining strong customer relations. This role involves weekly account monitoring and resolving billing issues to ensure timely payments.
What You'll Do11
- 1Collect and manage assigned accounts including Commercial insurance Utah New Mexico State Medicaid Medicare Advantage private pay
- 2Generate and submit claims timely and accurately to appropriate insurance providers
- 3Monitor assigned accounts to ensure payment and follow up on billing issues professionally
- 4Research correct and resubmit rejected or denied claims
- 5Appeal denied claims and maintain accounts receivable below acceptable standards
- 6Follow up on all accounts receivable monthly to guarantee payment timelines
- 7Review unbilled reports and work accounts to prevent denial
- 8Make outbound collection calls to insurance companies and patients
- 9Identify potential billing errors that could delay claim processing
- 10Prioritize workflow to meet company and department needs
- 11Solve complex issues and escalate appropriately
Requirements5
- 15+ years accounts receivable billing insurance collections experience
- 2High school diploma
- 3Background check required upon hire
- 4Ability to work in fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- 5Strong written and verbal communication skills
