Medical Assistant Traveling Position
Overview
We seek a skilled organized Medical Assistant with positive attitude to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting claimants with intake forms medical histories physical exams and serving as chaperone. Responsibilities include greeting claimants checking them in obtaining IDs and providing paperwork. Clinical duties include assisting with intake forms obtaining medical histories communicating information to doctors completing exam forms including ROM and serving as chaperone. The position requires bilingual Spanish English proficiency and availability for travel with mileage reimbursement. It offers 30–40 hours weekly rotation across counties.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet claimants and check them in while obtaining identification documents
- 2Assist with intake forms and medical history collection
- 3Prepare examination rooms with required charts and imaging studies on CD
- 4Serve as chaperone during doctor examinations
- 5Communicate patient information to physicians
- 6Complete ROM assessments and other clinical documentation
- 7Maintain organization and multitask in fast‑paced settings
- 8Travel to assigned counties on rotating schedule averaging three four days per week plus one Saturday monthly
Requirements9
- 1Bilingual English Spanish proficiency
- 2Minimum one year relevant experience or equivalent training and experience
- 3Availability for rotating travel schedule three four days per week and one Saturday per month
- 4Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle
- 5Knowledge of medical terminology
- 6Handling of radiology studies
- 7Computer skills required
- 8Experience in medical office preferred
- 9Detail‑oriented professional demeanor and reliability
Salary Insight
$40 - $44k per year
